I somehow wasn't mixing with the right people back then and missed most of the free party scene. Spent the weekend of Castle Morton working night and day in a hospital in East London inbetween times chasing my psychotic brother around trying( unsuccessfully) to stop him committing suicide. Regret not having raved back then when it was really happening. Still I'm up for it now, is it too late? Maybe I'm just not alternative enough. I'm great off my head though! Wild at heart. Time for a cup of tea. I think you lot are brill keep on rebelling. Can we have another go at it all?

Wow what a great blog.
I have been part of the alternative scene for many years. It's only recently that people have asked me to talk about it and to write stories.
I was one of the founders "Club Dog" which later became Megadog along with many many other stories!
I have only very recently started to write about these things.
I started my blog as my grown up son begged me to and because I had seen a documentary about Hawkwind and realised how much they were part of my life and was at Solfest this year and met up again with my old family( literally), Michael Dog, The Ozrics, Eat Static, System 7 etc...and my son and his generation continue on.
I have witnessed the power on non-materialistic alternative goings-on since the 60s when I was a child and seen it change and change again.
I am trying to get all this stuff into the consciousness of a few young people as they need to rebel!
Love and peace from a not so old hippie who is very proud to call herself that.
YOU CAN'T KILL THE SPIRIT!
